Attic Insulation Near You in Summerlin

Working near you across every Summerlin village, from Sun City Summerlin and The Trails through to Stonebridge and Reverence in Summerlin West.

Free inspection

We measure the current depth, check the ventilation path, and look for moisture, mold and pest damage. You receive photographs and the full scope in writing before work begins.

What we install

New insulation, removal of old or contaminated material, top-ups over existing insulation, air sealing, attic hatch and baffle work, and commercial ceilings.

Target R-value

R-38 to R-49 at the attic floor. That is the U.S. Department of Energy range for Clark County, climate zone 3B, and most Summerlin attics measure well below it.

Scheduling

Sunday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, emergency line 24/7. Summerlin is a short run from our Valley View shop, so same-day installation is available on most jobs.

Why Summerlin Attics Require More Than Code Minimum

Summerlin was built out in phases from 1990 onward, which means most of the community shares the same insulation specification from the same era. A Las Vegas attic reaches 150°F in July, and the depth installed thirty years ago was never intended to hold that back.

Insulation Installed in the 1990s

The Hills, The Pueblo, The Trails and Sun City Summerlin were built between 1989 and the early 2000s at R-19 or similar. Blown fiberglass settles over time, and in most Summerlin attics we measure it below R-11 today.

Tile Roofs Hold Heat

Concrete and clay tile is the dominant roof type across Summerlin, particularly in homes built between 1996 and 2002. Tile absorbs heat through the day and releases it into the attic well after sunset.

Two-Story Floor Plans

Many Summerlin homes are two-story, which places the upstairs bedrooms directly beneath the attic. That is where under-insulation is noticed first, and it is the most common complaint we hear before an inspection.

Ten years of desert attics through Southern Nevada, and 30+ Google reviews averaging 5.0.

Jobs Done in 3 to 4 Hours

A 2,000 sq ft attic is usually closed out on the same visit as the inspection, with cleanup and haul-away covered.

R-49, Not Code Minimum

We install for 150°F summers and mark the finished depth on the trusses so it can be checked later.

Cleaner Indoor Air

Paired with air sealing, blown-in insulation reduces dust, allergens, and smoke infiltration, important during Summerlin's dusty seasons.

Free Inspection, Written Scope

You receive photographs of the current attic condition and a written scope of work before installation begins.

Licensed with the Nevada State Contractors Board under 0095881, classification C-15C Insulation, bonded and insured. That license is what gives you a real contract, a warranty you can claim on, and protection under state law. Not every company quoting attic work has one.

Areas We Serve in Summerlin

Every village across Summerlin North, Summerlin South and Summerlin West. Summerlin sits inside the wider service area we cover from our attic insulation Las Vegas base. Here is what we usually find in each area.

89134

Sun City Summerlin

Del Webb, built 1989 to 1999. Single-story layouts place the entire floor plan beneath the attic, and original insulation is now around thirty years old.

89134 · 89144

The Hills, The Pueblo & The Trails

The original Summerlin villages, built through the 1990s and completed by the early 2000s. Predominantly tile roofs and settled R-19 insulation.

89135 · 89144

The Willows & The Vistas

The Vistas was developed from 2000. A mix of single-family homes and townhomes, most still at the depth they were built with.

89135 · 89144

Red Rock Country Club & The Ridges

Larger custom and semi-custom homes with more attic square footage. Higher ceilings and complex rooflines mean more surface area to cover.

89135 · 89138

The Paseos & Summerlin Centre

Mid-2000s construction. A better starting point than the older villages, though most attics were still installed at code minimum rather than the full DOE range.

89138

Stonebridge, Reverence & Redpoint

Summerlin West, built from 2017 onward. The newest stock in the community, where the work is usually a top-up or air sealing rather than a full replacement.

Signs Your Summerlin Attic Is Under-Insulated

If two or more of these apply, the attic is almost certainly below R-38.

✓ Power bills increase sharply from May through September
✓ Upstairs bedrooms stay warm well into the evening
✓ The air conditioner runs continuously through the afternoon without keeping up
✓ Temperatures vary noticeably between the ground floor and the upper floor
✓ Ceiling joists are visible above the insulation, indicating R-19 or less
✓ The home was built before 2010 and the insulation has never been upgraded

Attic Insulation Services in Summerlin

Three options for a Summerlin attic. The recommendation follows the free inspection and depends on the existing layer and how the attic is framed.

Blown-In Insulation
Fiberglass Batt Insulation
Cellulose Insulation

Blown-In Insulation

This is what we use in most Summerlin attics. We blow it in, and it gets into every gap, corner, and hard-to-reach spot, around pipes, wires, ductwork, all of it. Even coverage every time.

Best for: most attic types, adding over existing insulation, full even coverage

Fiberglass Batt

If you have a standard attic with open joist spacing, this is a great fit. It’s pre-cut, goes in clean, and it’s the most affordable option we offer. Does exactly what it needs to do.

Best for: open attics, standard joist spacing, budget-conscious upgrades

Cellulose Insulation

We use this one when we need to really pack the insulation in tight. It seals air gaps better and works great in spots where blown-in can’t reach. It’s an eco-friendly choice if that matters to you.

Best for: tight spaces, air sealing, homeowners who prefer recycled materials

Our Installation Process

Four steps, and on most homes all four happen the same day.

#1

Free Inspection

We start with a free, no-obligation on-site inspection to assess your attic, check current insulation levels, identify air leaks, and spot any issues, mould, pests, moisture, or ventilation problems. Takes around 30 minutes.

#2

Customized Solutions

Based on what we find, we recommend the best insulation type, R-value, and approach for your home and Las Vegas climate. You get a clear estimate with the full scope and all-in price before any work begins.

#3

Attic Installation

Our crew installs your insulation, often the same day as the inspection. Most jobs on a 2,000 sq. ft. attic are done in 3–4 hours. We protect your home throughout and handle full cleanup and disposal.

#4

Quality Assurance

After the attic insulation installation, we do a final walkthrough to confirm everything is installed correctly, evenly, and to the agreed R-value. You’ll feel the difference immediately.

Summerlin Attic Insulation Questions

Do you cover all of Summerlin?

Yes. We work across every village in Summerlin North, Summerlin South and Summerlin West, covering 89128, 89134, 89135, 89138, 89144 and 89145. Summerlin is a short run from our Valley View shop, so same-day installation is available on most jobs.

R-38 to R-49 at the attic floor. That is the U.S. Department of Energy range for Clark County, which sits in climate zone 3B. Most Summerlin homes were built at around R-19, and blown fiberglass settles further over time, so the majority of attics we inspect measure well below the recommended range.

Blown-in insulation is suitable for most Summerlin attics, as it installs over the existing layer and fills the gaps around ductwork and wiring. Fiberglass batt insulation is suited to open attics with standard joist spacing. Cellulose insulation installs denser and seals small gaps, which is an advantage in tight or leaky attics. We make the recommendation at the inspection.

A typical 2,000 square foot attic takes 3 to 4 hours from setup through cleanup, and is completed the same day as the inspection where scheduling allows. Jobs requiring removal of existing insulation generally take a full day.

Usually not. All work takes place in the attic. During a removal, homeowners sensitive to dust may prefer to step out for an hour or two, though it is not required.
